From recollection, it's usually the 'f' at the end of 'of' that people skim over in such 'tests'...

I posted it knowing the highbrow members would not probably get the point, a percentage of people reading the words miss the Fs in OF. Damn the bright sparks on the forum ha ha .
It is a cognitive response in some people , people on first answering were saying they could see 3 Fs , then 4 ha ha . 6 is the answer obviously.

My considerable experience of pretending to be sober emboldens me, Dear astra, to suggest that clapping a free hand to cover one's eye has a felicitous effect upon the clarity of the written word. Now, where's the door I came in by? Can't have got here through a cupboard.

HA HA , I didn't get them all when I first stumbled across the text.
The trick also is the way the text is laid out visually , not in one continuous sentence.

I have a glass of Clynelish in one hand and a VERY TENDER part of Nursies anatomy in the other. Just to explain, she has come to change my dressings and take a few blood samples, and we ARE NOT going to hurt each other! ARE WE??? Very Happy
