IMHO, absolutely. What they did is tantamount to torture and the officers should be prosecuted by the federal government.

Should parents feed and clothe their children? Should people shower every day and brush their teeth at least twice? Maybe I should start a new board entitled "Asking the bleedin' obvious"?

Before leaving this well-ploughed field, it may be worth recording that the Campus Police Lieutenant resorted to pepper-spraying the bowed heads of seated protestors because he was frightened.

There was no clear avenue for retreat, so he responded with extreme violence. Perfectly normal animal behaviour.
