'Angel Of Highgate' by Vaughn Entwistle
Once I began reading this book I just could not put it down. Vaughn's book plunged me into the seedy underworld of Victorian London. I could almost smell the smoke, the dirty back streets and the foul waters of the Thames. The characters leap out of the pages, and as I reached the last section of the book I almost didn't want it to end and really felt for the hero of the story. Beware - if you were afraid of Bill Sykes in 'Oliver Twist', prepare to meet Mordecai Fowler!
A great book which takes you back in time due to Vaughn's beautiful grasp of the English language. Vaughn can also be found on Twitter as @VaughnEntwistle.
