We are being subjected to the words of 'wisdom' from the Republican candidate for President of the USA.........

So far he has managed to cast aspersions on Britain's organisation of the 2012 Olympic's with his comment....

Romney initially risked offending his hosts on Wednesday evening when he said he could not be sure if the British people would get behind the Games.

"You know it's hard to know just how well it will turn out," He told NBC News on Wednesday. "There were a few things that were disconcerting."

"The story about the private security firm not having enough people, the supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that is not something that is encouraging."

Then when trying to dig himself out of that hole he made the following mistakes

But it got worse for Romney who, when attempting to U-turn on his comments, caused amusement when said he'd spent a great day in the "backside" of Downing Street - rather than the back garden.

I wonder if he has been taking lessons from that great statesman GW BUSH?

Imagine that gentleman heading the most powerful Military conglomeration in the World.

But Romney has achieved that rare distinction for a politician of Uniting an entire Nation.

We're all glad he's gone.

Mitt Romney's Press Aide Tells American Journalists To 'Kiss My Ass'

American reporters were told to "show some respect" by Mit Romney's press aide on Tuesday, after their shouted questions about the Republican presidential candidate's "gaffes" were rebuffed.

As Romney left the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw, Poland, on Tuesday, their attempts to prize an answer from Romney were met with scorn by Rick Gorka.

"Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect," he told the press.

Politico reports that Gorka also told another reporter to "shove it". A comment for which he is said to later have apologised for.

The press is an ever-present thorn in the sides of fascists. Now, I don't believe that Romney is a fascist, but he IS a former big business leader, and they follow on the heels of fascists. After all, corporate culture is inherently fascistic with rigid hierarchies, appointed leadership, a lack of democratic ideals, strict rules, and social control including tight controls on how one dresses, how one speaks, how one grooms his/herself, and even how one "represents the company" when conducting their private lives. I fear that Romney will run America like a corporation completely forgetting that, as president, he works for the people, not the other way around.

How can it be that US polls indicate that "there is no space between" Romney and Obama for President in November?

Are we to believe that 50% of the American electorate are in a parallel universe? Do they actually want to see their Country continuously involved in overseas wars for the foreseeable future?

Keep in mind that 37% of the German people voted for Hitler.

The right-wing propaganda in this country has been very effective. It has been preying on the fears of Americans even when Obama was still the president-elect ... and perhaps even sooner than that. I remember back in 2007 seeing a YouTube video showing people giving their responses to Obama's entry into the presidential race. And "presidential race" can be taken in more than one context, especially when hearing one southern crone bleat, "If Obama wins the presidency, the blacks will take over the country!"

astradt1. Presumably the 2008 election was as well, but religion is also a very big factor in the USA. Mitt Romney, who wants to become president of the country with the most nuclear weapons, believes that in 1827 an angel called Moroni gave Joseph Smith some golden plates that had symbols on them. There must have been at least a full dinner service worth of mystical crockery, because the translations filled up a whole new ‘bible’. Yes, Romney belongs to the Mormons, who are anti-gay, only allowed black priests in 1978 and have done baptisms for the dead, including 300,000 holocaust victims. What's worse, they're teetotal, don't even drink coffee or tea and wear 'religious undergarments'.

In todays attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya in which the ambassador was killed has prompted Mitt Romney to make the following observation about the Obama administration:

had appeared to "sympathise with those who waged the attacks" in Benghazi and Cairo. [BBC]

Is this man serious ?

He has actualy suggested that the US president would sympathize with a terrorist attack which kills US citizens, all I can say is Mitt Romney is completely deranged and is not fit to become mayor of Waltons Mountain let alone of a nation.

"...is Mitt Romney ... completely deranged ..."

In his quest for the White House, Norman the Morman is prepared to say and do anything -however cheap and dirty- to gain power. It is precisely the same snivellingly-despicable smear-ridden approach characteristically adopted by Tory politicians for whom the truth is an irrelevance if it looks like hindering their greedy path to influence .

If America is sufficiently stupid to vote for Romney , she will deserve all she gets...

A very conservative friend, an honorable man whose opposition to Barack Obama is centered upon issues rather than color of skin, a man who actively supported Herman Cain, has informed me that he will not vote for President of the United States in November 2012. He said (exact quote), “I will not and cannot vote for a Mormon.”

Unlike crypto-racists who vainly attempt to cloak their racism within diametrically-opposed ideologies (anti-Cain-ists are often as racist as anti-Obama-ists), my friend recognizes the inherent enmity of Mormon doctrines to the ideas upon which the United States of America is founded. The most insidiously threatening Mormon doctrine calls for Mormons to transform the United States from a nation under God to a theocracy. My friend also recognizes the fact that Mitt Romney is not a Christian. In actuality, as one who is committed to obey the commandments of Joseph Smith the Prophet, Mitt Romney is a Prophetian.

I don't think Romney is isolationist - in fact, he wants to beef up the military by taking money away from social programs. Ron Paul is the isolationist, so much so that he's a loon. It's why he never receives votes and is never nominated for president.

As for Romney being good at PR, well, you should compare the speeches both Obama and Romney made in regards to the recent attacks on US embassies in Libya and Egypt. While Obama praised the fallen as heroes and expressed sympathy to the affected families, Romney bashed Obama for not leading and used the situation, as well as the dead Americans, as a big political football.

Unfortunately, these types of events are very bad for a president but very good for a candidate. The reason is because Romney can sit on the sidelines and criticize Obama no matter what course of action he takes. It's easy for Romney to shake his fist and issue buzzword statements like, "America needs to take decisive action!" and "We won't tolerate these acts of aggression against our sovereignty!" Except ... he's not the one who has to actually make any decisions. He doesn't have to send men into battle or spend time in diplomatic talks ... and whatever Obama does, no matter which decision he makes, it will be the wrong one in the eyes of the Republicans. Obama has to campaign AND run the country at the same time. Romney can just sit around at his $1000 per plate fund-raising dinners and bloviate about how Obama didn't do this or how he should have done that. If he sends in troops, then he shouldn't have sent in troops. If Obama doesn't send in troops, then he should have sent in troops. If Obama opts for diplomacy, then he should have went to war. If he goes to war, then he should have opted for diplomacy. You get the idea ... and that's EXACTLY how Romney will play this.

Of course, when you spend all of your time bashing the president while the president hails the dead as heroes and empathizes with the family, it's only going to make Romney look like a clod ... and a callous one at that.

Well reading the US papers it s clear that many Republicans are uneasy at Romney s comments against the president, and allthough most will not actualy go so far as to condem Romney, there are lots of veiled criticisms.

One well known Conservative writter, columnist and former aide to Ronnie the cowboy Reagan (Peggy Noonan) said that Romney "has not been doing himself any favours".

The Law of Sacrifice

One of several temple oaths was [Mitt Romney's] oath of Obedience to the Law of Sacrifice, in which he vowed,

"As Jesus Christ has laid down his life for the redemption of mankind, so we should covenant to sacrifice all that we possess, even our [my] own lives [life] if necessary, in sustaining and defending the Kingdom of God."  [iii]

The "execution of the penalty" for 'disobedience at the time Mitt Romney took out his "temple Endowments" was demonstrated by

"by placing the thumb under the left ear, the palm of the hand down, and by drawing the thumb quickly across the throat to the right ear, and dropping the hand to the side"[iv].

It is hard to imagine that well-educated Mormon men of such political stature like former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Utah Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah or Senator Harry Reid of Nevada could bring their thumbs to their throats and swear a blood oath that they will 'suffer' their throats slit from ear to ear should they not "sacrifice all that [they] possess, even [their] own lives if necessary, in sustaining and defending the Kingdom of God, as defined by the Mormon prophet.

These high level Temple Mormons clearly know that this Mormon "Kingdom of God" is, in reality,  a Mormon one-world government, a theocracy, soon coming to America,  that will be run by the strong arm of the Mormon Brethren, headed up by the only true prophet of God on earth.  However, it is clear that they did swear such an oath.

The Mormon Plan for America and The Rise of Mitt Romney, Ed Decker, February 14, 2007. Retrieved 22 September 2012 from http://www.worldviewweekend.com/worldview-times/article.php?articleid=6317

This article, in my opinion, should be read in its entirety by anyone who believes that Western governments should not be co-opted and transformed into theocracies controlled by the Mormon Prophet and his cohorts.

Read the letter sent by “Apostle” Delbert E. Stapley to then presidential candidate George Romney (the identical last names are not a coincidence) on 23 January 1964.

Letter sent by “Apostle” Delbert E. Stapley to George Romney, 23 January 1964:

THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
THE COUNCIL OF THE TWELVE
47 E. SOUTH TEMPLE STREET
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH

January 23, 1964

Governor George W. Romney
Governor’s Mansion
Lansing, Michigan

I would like to suggest you read two items on this subject, both by the Prophet Joseph Smith… page 269 of Teachings Of The Prophet Joseph Smith… page 270… History of the Church, Period 1, Volume 2… page 436... page 440.

When I… remember what happened to three of our nation’s presidents who were very active in the Negro cause… They went contrary to the teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith…

… the Prophet Joseph Smith… proposed to Congress… that they… buy up the Negro slaves and transport them back to Africa from whence they came.

I cannot… accept the idea of… taking from the Whites their wishes to satisfy the Negros. I do not have any objection to recognizing the Negro in his place…

… nor should the Whites be forced to accept them [the Negro] into restricted White areas.

Now, don’t think I am against the Negro people, because I have several in my employ.

Full letter: http://www.boston.com/news/daily/24/delbert_stapley.pdf

Note the underlying presumption: By sending this letter to a candidate for President of the United States, “Apostle” Delbert E. Stapley presumes the right to subtly dictate policy to a potential president from within the secret corridors of Salt Lake City.

Given that Romney was secretly filmed at a $50,000 per plate fundraiser saying that 47% of Americans consider themselves "victims" and that it's essentially their fault for being poor, unemployed, or low-wage workers, I think Romney is finished as a viable candidate for president. You cannot insult close to half the nation and expect to get elected and even Republicans are walking away from the man. Paul Ryan, Romney's VP running mate is even hedging his bets by simultaneously running for his old job as a senator. That should give you some idea of how horribly Romney's campaign has gone wrong.

I mean, seriously, $50,000 per plate? That's more than a year's salary for the vast majority of Americans, and more than just chump change for even those making $250k or more. This was a fundraiser aimed at the super rich, the only people who can really afford to plop down that kind of cash to have dinner with Romney. When you sit around trashing America's bottom 50% while hobnobbing with millionaires, the elitism is disgusting, and the American people know it. Perhaps this is why Obama leads in the polls in Ohio, Florida, and Virginia, three of the most important battleground states.

Romney's utter lack of public relations skills is going to cost him the presidency -- not that I'm complaining. The first presidential debate is coming up this Wednesday, and I have a feeling he's going to flub them hard. He couldn't even muddle through an interview on Fox News (who is on his side) without sounding testy and irritated, so imagine how he's going to react to Obama himself. Romney has been relying on lies, propaganda, and misquoting Obama so far, but he won't be able to get away with that crap during the debates.

Americans are notorious for voting against their own economic interests. There are far too many poor folks who believe in riding on the coattails of the rich, thinking that, one day, they will be invited to sit at their table.

The thing about the carrot that these deluded poor folks haven't figured out yet is: The carrot is being held by a rich man traveling at the same speed you are, so the carrot will be forever out of reach.
