Porn - what does it mean to you?

Post by Jack7 on Wed Jul 31, 2013 4:39 pm

So what about porn?
Should you be able to watch it?
Because there is no doubt at all that you can if you have a computer or a smart phone.
First we should get real.
A generation is passing that would consider porn offensive.
That generation had traditional values as to what is right and wrong.
The current generation has no problem with porn.
It mainly exploits women in ugly and worthless ways.
But the women do not seem to mind being exploited.
Sex and porn is a multi billion pound industry.
It invades all aspects of our lives.
And now mainly on the internet.
It insidiously invades all of the media.
The papers, TV programs and of course the internet.
Its main thrust is the sexual exploitation of women for sexual gratification.
And do the women rise up like the women who demanded the vote.
Hell no.
Now stand back and consider.
We are all like rutting animals.
Sex is a messy, smelly and ridiculous occupation.
But how we LOVE it.
How we have no control of our lusts/desires.
It has NOTHING at all to do with love.
It is bestial.
It is the elephant in the room that we do not face up to.
It produces unwanted children.
It gives us unpleasant diseases.
Is the female genitalia beautiful?
Most certainly not.
Why are we all coned and obsessed?
What drives us in the ridiculous pursuit of sex?
………………………………...............
It is not objective .. It is subjective.
We can not help ourselves.
We are driven as much as the beasts of the field.
We are the beasts of the fields.
……………………………….....
Sex drives the world as much as the desire to be rich.
Both are obscene and worthless.

Many of the World's religions teach control of the sexual urge, and most civilised cultures have ethics which recognise the best as well as the less desirable aspects - whilst the over-riding reality is that Mother Nature is concerned only with continuance of the human race. Whatever it takes.

In case you missed it....

Post by whitbyforklift on Fri Aug 02, 2013 11:39 am

I am putting this on here in case you missed my reply to you
in general discussion.
DONT LEAVE. I have a friend of 40 years+ who help found this site.
He left in a huff over sommat or nowt.
He was my best man 30 years ago and he is going to conduct
my funeral.(no devil dodgers for me)
Yet and how about this 20 years or so ago both of us with good
reason tried to have a man expelled from the order we belong to.
Instead the top brass suspended us two for making waves.
I have never attended since. My friend has been back a long time
and every week tries to talk me round to go back.
I think he would like to come back on here?

I will respond with a woman's perspective, even though you've run off in a huff because this thread got moved.

Yes, I think you should be allowed to watch porn, though I don't include anything involving children or animals in that statement.

Is it degrading? Yes, I suppose so, but not just to women. However, the people involved CHOOSE to do it for their own reasons. Money, most likely. In fact, I know of a guy from another message board years ago who did it to pay for his college education. He's an architect now and when he finished his degree, he got out.

So what if it's messy and/or smelly and/or silly looking, or whatever. It feels good (when done right) so why NOT love it?

I heartily disagree with your broad-brush statements of

We are all like rutting animals.
...we have no control of our lusts/desires.
It has NOTHING at all to do with love.

SOME people are like rutting animals. SOME people probably don't have control. But certainly not all. And to say it has nothing to do with love is just ridiculous. Yes, people have sex without love, but a great many more have sex to *express* their love for their partner.

It produces unwanted children.
It gives us unpleasant diseases.

Not if you take precautions against both.

Is the female genitalia beautiful?
Most certainly not.

Disagree. Both male and female are attractive in their own ways, in my opinion.

I think it's clear that you have a very unhealthy view of sex. Sex is not anything to be ashamed of, as your post would have us believe.
