Here are a few cell phone photos of bison I took today at a former weapons arsenal that's now a wildlife refuge. The herd of about 40 was essentially surrounding our car at one point, and some were nearly close enough to touch. Please excuse the dirty windshield. Wink

This great horned owl has a nest in one of our courtyards at work. I tried to get pictures last year but never saw it. A couple of days ago, the site environmental engineer emailed me to say the owl was around if I was still interested. I have sent her other photos of wildlife I see there, as there is a "wildlife at work" website, and she said she was looking for material to add. So far, she's not put up anything new. :(Oh well. That's life! Anyway, these were taken with no tripod, so they're not outstanding. They're not horrible either, though.

The pics below were taken last night. There's another reason I hate Tories - most of them would be quite happy to allow sick toffs to set hounds on this beautiful creature.  Evil or Very Mad

More great horned owls (taken near my house), a heron, a snowy egret, and turtles.
