Are the Tories velvet glove fascists?
First topic message reminder :
In my opinion, the UK under our extreme right-wing government is rapidly degenerating into velvet glove fascism.
Like all fascists, Hitler was against trade unions and socialists. Similarly, Michael Gove vilified primary school teachers and dinner ladies, many of whom went on strike for the first time in their lives on 30 November last year, as “militants itching for a fight”. Gove has plans for military cadets in every school (Cameron Youth?) and a return to children sitting in rows reciting lists of kings and queens in history lessons, rather than learning to think. Hitler also realised how important history was to indoctrination when he ordered the mass burning of books. Tories close libraries.
Hitler made sure that he controlled the media. The Tories have cowed the BBC by threats of fragmentation and sharing the licence fee with others, such as Murdoch. The BBC, which was required to be impartial, has become just another mouthpiece for Tory propaganda. As soon as they came to power in 2010, the Tories instructed every minister to repeat over and over again the whopping lie that Labour, not Tory bankers, caused the global credit crisis. We have the repeated lie about everyone in the public sector getting “gold-plated pensions”, when the average is only £5,600 per annum. As Goebbels said: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." Cameron has proved over and over again that he’s a pathological liar.
Hitler divided and ruled the German people by scapegoating Jews and gypsies. The Tories are demonising those who receive benefits, one result of which is that disability hate crimes are increasing. Duncan Smith went on breakfast television on 27 May 2010 and made the chilling remark: "Work makes you free". That's an exact translation of the sign which used to hang over the entrances to concentration camps.
The Tories have plans to force 50,000 disabled youth to work for companies such as Sainsbury's and Tesco's unpaid. Cancer patients are being made to undergo work assessments while being treated with chemotherapy, and wounded soldiers are being sacked. (Osborne is willing to take money from the disabled and cancer patients, but not prepared to veto Hester's bonus from the largely state-owned RBS.)
The police are being trained to shoot people with rubber bullets and will be issued with water cannon, yet the Tories were so keen on helping Arab rebels in North Africa. Two unknown Scottish teenagers made a joke on 'Facebook' about organising riots, and they both received four years in jail. A prominent Tory TV presenter (and personal friend of Cameron) made a tasteless joke about murdering trade unionists on prime time television; nothing was done about it and the BBC continue to pay him £1 million a year of our money.
We don't have any concentration camps in the UK, but the principles are the same - propaganda, indoctrination, and divide and rule by demonising a section of the population. While Hitler gassed Jews, the Tories clearly don't care if benefit claimants starve to death. Even payments from the Social Fund, for those in the most desperate need, will no longer be available from job centres but will be at the 'discretion' of local councils, who will not have to ring-fence the money. All the ingredients of fascism are there, but it's just being handed out to us in a more genteel form than Hitler used - in velvet gloves.

What's new Ivan??
The use of this stuff will save ALL that luvverly overtime the polis and the prison warders enjoyed during the miner's strike.
They must have reckoned it was a "Worthwhile expense". As OW has said, it seems Cameron is merely starting where Thatch (spit) and "Fancy a Currie?" left off

That's what happens when tyrannical governments fear the people.
The Tories must be removed from office as soon as possible.

Latest opinion poll, showing 5% Labour lead, predicts that the number of Lib Dem MPs would be reduced from 57 to 5 in a general election. Turkeys don't usually vote for an early Christmas.
Re: Are the Tories velvet glove fascists?
The Liberal (now Lib-Dem) Party was out of office from 1922 to 2010. On the assumption that history repeats itself, they will be due to resume governing 88 years after the next General Election.

Hi Ivan was watching the Wright Stuff on Monday 6/2/2012 in the first part of the show they had a topic and the panel discuss it first and then the public can phone in, on Monday I felt sick after listening to a man that had phoned in this is what he said, He had taken his wife up to London for the day and they ended up at St Paul's Cathedral it was around 7.00pm when they left and they where closing up for the day and he noticed that the staff of the Cathedral where putting out mats before they shut the doors for the night I hung around for a while and got talking to a man and his wife they had two kids with him and he mentioned about the staff putting out the mats he then said they where put out for him and his wife and kids to sleep on he said he had lost his job like thousands of others could not keep up with his mortgage payments and his house was taken from them by the bank.
And this is just the beginning of what is going to happen in the UK if we do not do something I do not know what (yes I do hang Scam..er..on up by his Balls with Cheese Wire) I hop I did not make any bodies eyes water.

Returning to the topic....
Aidan Burley, a Conservative MP sacked from his government post over a Nazi stag party, was caught in a new row after allegations that he behaved disrespectfully during a trip to Auschwitz. Matthew Parkinson, who said he was present at the same talk at Auschwitz, said that Burley “was blatantly disrespectful throughout”.
Burley was sacked in December as a parliamentary private secretary after it was revealed he attended a stag party in France where a guest wore a replica SS uniform and others toasted the Third Reich.

Red, Talking of Herr Cameron’s Ball’s. Doesn’t it strike you as strange, When the cretin attacks the weakest in our Society, by removing or lowering their much needed benefits, he refers to it as being “brave “ to take the tough decisions, but when he cocks up in a monumental way like he is with this much hated NHS Reform Bill, and every other bill that’s had to be scrapped or sent to the invisible menders for repair, he hasn’t the courage to admit he’s phucked up, and still try’s to bull shit us into believing it is a much needed reform and will benefit the people of the UK.
This creature (I cant bring myself to referring to it as a Man) is the slimiest swine (sorry pigs) we have ever had in politics since Lord Cardigan.

Looking about 50/50 just at the moment. Everything comes to he who waits.
Get ready to spring the trap, Ed. Should be able to get a couple of Health Ministers and perhaps even a PM.

Talking of Traps!!
In a small country museum of bygones, in Marton, between Coventry and Southam is a selection of 18th and 19th century MAN TRAPS, which were used to capture poachers. These things would cut a man in half, amputate a leg
Now ED knows where suitable traps are, just has to think about where to place them. Chipping Norton Sailing Club sounds about right to me.

Red
I remember back in the eighties a Couple living in Sutton, Surrey, with a 16 year old teenage son where made homeless, due to loss of job and Mortgage arrears. The housing laws where that the teenage boy could not be made homeless, so the Council offered temporary accommodation for the Boy, but because Mum and Dad defaulted on the mortgage, it was deemed they had made themselves homeless, and the Council had no legal responsibility to house the parents, only the Boy. I ask you Red they would have quite happily have split the Family up, because they didn’t have any legal responsibility. The Sutton Borough Council where Tory, The Government of the day, where Tory, and of course its all happening again as we are being assailed by yet another Tory Government.
I know the above story to be the truth, as the Man in Question is now an employee/Friend of mine.

In the 70s when my dear Lady worked for the Hydro Electric Board, it was ILLEGAL to cut a supply off to a family!
Simple, Clear, Distinct!
Then along came Madge, and the Key meters were introduced! SO from then on, if you dont "charge" the key, you got no juice! ? You cut yourself off is the mantra!!
Further, it is proven that the key meter route of paying for electric, which is used by the poorest in the community, is the most expensive rate of all the tarriffs available! and £170,00p to change back to a 'normal' meter and direct debit!
Good Eh!!

Thanks bobby for getting back too me, apparently the man lost his job because of Scam..er..ons cuts so in turn he did not have the money to pay his mortgage hence the family is now homeless thanks to this INCOMPETENCE of this Tory Gov't.

Nobody knows that more than us here in Scotland Mel and I know in the end everybody suffered under Mental Maggie, I will tell you what I intend too do Im waiting for the Old HAG to die then I will find out where they have buried her and go and pay a visit without any underwear on and then have a wee and a dump on her grave as a pay back for her weeing and dumping over us, the reason we hate her so much here because we did not vote Tory (she only had one MP in Scotland) here we where punished for not voting Tory, and it was the same in May 2010 GE and of course not even the SNP Gov't could not protect us from Tory policies that is why Scotland gave Mr Salmond such a huge majority.

Tory MP faces charges over Nazi stag night
A French state prosecutor has launched a criminal investigation into the 'Nazi stag night' attended by the Tory MP Aidan Burley. French police will seek to question ten British men, including Burley, who attended a stag night at a restaurant in Val Thorens on 3 December. A video posted on the internet showed some of the men – but not Burley – wearing spoof Nazi uniforms, giving Hitler salutes and toasting the "ideology and ideas of the Third Reich". Under French law, they face possible criminal charges.
The French pressure group, SOS Anti-Semitism, which brought a formal complaint in January, said Mr Burley's behaviour was "illegal, irresponsible and aggravated by his status as a political representative". The restaurant has also brought a legal complaint against the men, saying its staff had asked the British visitors to remove their Nazi uniforms.

Re: Are the Tories velvet glove fascists?
I have obtained the permission of the author of this article, Dr Eoin Clarke, to reproduce it in full here:-

Exposed: Cameron covers up yesterday's NHS hospital altercation and censors the press.
Check this 80-second video out:-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-17036826
According to a complainant who has got in touch, David Cameron was supposed to be on a high profile visit to a hospital in the North East of England yesterday. But which hospital was it? Who was the interviewer? Why just a 80-second video? Why does Cameron not meet any patients? Why is he not seen meeting any staff? Have we any evidence that Cameron indeed met with any of the staff or patients? Yesterday morning, this was flagged up as a high profile visit but it became nothing more than a 'furtive scuttle'.
A member of the public got in touch to say that Cameron had received a very cold reception from the staff. The complainant also stated that there had been a rumoured altercation, and that the press had been kept away. But unlike the days of old when Tony Blair's encounter with an angry patient, or Gordon Brown's famous encounter with Mrs Duffy was beamed onto our television screens, this time we have seen nothing but a faceless interview. This is censorship of the highest order and according to the complainant who got in touch, this undermines our free press.
If need be, I will publish the complainant's letter, a little later, but first I would like some answers. What happened on David Cameron's hospital visit yesterday? Did he speak to staff or patients, and if so why does the clip not show this? Did he meet with the press, and if so why do we not see any evidence of this? Why has the PM concealed the hospital or any interaction with the public?
Isn't this more evidence of just how unpopular these NHS reforms are? A Prime Minister who has to hide in the back corridors of a hospital answering a shoo-in question from an anonymous reporter is frankly the stuff of a sub-standard democracy. The voters have a right to know what really happened on the Prime Minister's visit.
Prime Minister, these claims are very easy to dispel. Simply clarify how many journalists you allowed to accompany you on the visit, and tell us how your interaction with the staff and patients went yesterday?

But unlike the days of old when Tony Blair's encounter with an angry patient, or Gordon Brown's famous encounter with Mrs Duffy was beamed onto our television screens, this time we have seen nothing but a faceless interview. This is censorship of the highest order and according to the complainant who got in touch, this undermines our free press. "
We can all recall the onslought by the press/media upon Brown during his time in office. We shall not be obliged with such detrimental coverage with the Tories. For one, most of the media are pro Tory and two, those who are independant are kept at arms lenght.
Is this democracy at it's worse?
Remember when Cameron held a private meeting with that Tory high ranking nurse at westminster? Where the future of the NHS dIscussion was held behing closed doors.

Re: Are the Tories velvet glove fascists?
Ivan. What I don’t understand is that Labour don’t seem to be picking up on these many incidents. Are they simply keeping their powder dry, or just doing a Herr Cameron, and hoping something will just happen all by itself.
What I think they should be doing is to grab any snippet they can, and take it as far as it can go, then start on it again, and again. I am fully aware of Herr Cameroons control over the bulk of the media, but there must be avenues open to Labour to get all the masses of sleaze into the publics notice. I personally don’t think they should be worrying about keeping their powder dry, but should be attacking at every opportunity.
On PMQ’s Ed Miliband only has 6 questions, so why does he generally use them all up on just one subject, occasionally two. Why doesn’t he orchestrate the rest of his party to put, and keep pressure on Herr Cameron, particularly because we all know he has no answers. Ed as well as we know Herr Cameron can not take pressure, and he will blow his stack, showing every one just what he’s all about, but we get so many insignificant questions from many Labour backbenchers, leaving the door wide open for Herr Cameron to get straight back on the attack. I don’t know if Ed Miliband has some sort of master plan, but it is in my nature, that when your adversary is on the floor, that’s the time to kick him in the teeth and keep him there, or else he will get up and possibly do you damage, which is precisely what is happening in Parliament now.

Hello bobby
A little better thanks. Good to see you are finding time to put your very valid points over so vigourously as usual.

Hi Ivan watched your clip it does not tell us much about the visit or the altercation that took place but Im looking forward to you publishing the complainant's letter that will be interesting reading.

Re: Are the Tories velvet glove fascists?
That’s the whole point, it was censored! The news clip on the BBC was just Cameron talking about binge drinking.Redflag wrote:-

Dr Clarke wrote the article which, with his permission, I reproduced here. If and when he publishes the complainant’s letter, I will post that as well.

Re: Are the Tories velvet glove fascists?
I wonder if this is this the type of fracas that Cameron covered up during his NHS visit yesterday?

Cameron pledges to tackle North-East drinks scandal

PRIME Minister David Cameron yesterday vowed to tackle the growing “scandal” of alcohol-fuelled disorder during a visit to a North-East hospital.
Speaking at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, he highlighted the cost of alcohol to the NHS after meeting doctors, nurses, paramedics and police officers.
Mr Cameron toured the hospital, which has a police officer on duty two nights a week to handle drunken incidents, with matron Angela McNab and paramedic Paul Fell.

Re: Are the Tories velvet glove fascists?
I can't understand the problem!
Newcastle upon Tyne had the 'Scottish and Newcastle Brewery' now demolished! No more Newcastle Brown!
Sunderland had the Vaux Brewery, Demolished! No more Double Maxim!
Many 'micro breweries' are opening up, and their product is always around the 5.5% alchohol content and far far more potent than the top two brews I mentioned.

Tory contempt for the Parliamentary Process is abundantly evident from the irrevocable changes which have ALREADY been made to the NHS administrative hierarchy, in anticipation of a Bill which hasn't received the Royal Assent.
