I am utterly dismayed and to say the least, distraught, that this sentence may be carried out. I do hope there is an international protest at this.

The Devil doesn't exist either. He is as much a fantasy as God is or any other fictional character in a story.

Actually, I find the Devil to be an even more ludicrous concept than God - and even more implausible. Yet the Devil is entirely necessary because all good STORIES have conflict and antagonists. On a spiritual level, the Devil is entire superfluous other than as a scapegoat to keep God's ass clean.

You really are a funny one. One minute it's all man's fault for not heeding God's word and commands and his insatiable lust for worship and the next it's the Devil's fault.

Try this on for size, polyglide. Walk around in it for a few minutes and tell me how it feels. How about none of that nonsense exists at all. There is no spirit world, no devils, demons, angels or gods. No ghosts, no supernatrual magic, no paranormal activity. Just imagine it for a moment. What would that mean for your life? Do you ever suppose that you might just be able to be happy with the one life you have. Enjoy it. Be amazed and astounded and gobsmacked at the beauty of the world and its people. Most of us are pretty good. It's only the few that wreck it and make people like you paranoid about the world. It's just not that bad.

This soap opera that you think carries on in the ether beyond the veil is just pure and utter lunacy. The problems in our world are down to us to fix. God ain't gonna fix it and the Devil ain't causing it. We are much better now than we were 100 years ago. Think about it.

I think religious nuttery is mental illness. It is certainly delusion.

But few see that as any impediment to an orgy of self-indulgent criticism lasting 239 days, several headaches, a political funeral, civil wars and wilful exploitation of imaginary occurrences.

OCD, snowyflake? I'm not qualified to express an opinion, but you may find this helpful: A psychologist or psychiatrist usually does a thorough assessment before diagnosing OCD. In your consultation you will probably be asked to give a detailed description of your behaviour as well as any family history of anxiety or other disorders such as Tourette’s syndrome. It is advisable to write these down before the consultation.
