Has anyone seen or heard a ghost?
First topic message reminder :
I have - seen and heard several. Am I crazy?
There is a theory that most people believe they have had some kind of encounter with the dead - or whatever these things are.
It is also postulated that the dark matter in the universe may hold the key to a further dimension which may explain the spirit world. Quantum physics certainly opens the door to this strange idea, if we explore what Einstein expounded.
If you have had an experience please tell us what it was, where and when, etc. Then I will mention my own brush with the supernatural.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard a ghost?
That comment just explains the truth in what I said.
There is more truth and sense coming from my posterior than your self opinionated rubbish.

DO I smell a whiff of hypocrisy here or merely the whiff od ordure?polyglide wrote:That comment just explains the truth in what I said.

Hilarious wriggle, but still an absurd assertion. I'd be more convinced if you said you'd picked one from a hat, as they're all completely unevidenced anyway.polyglide wrote:You have obviously not heard the expresion.a figure of speach.
I have considered all the religions that are aplicable to today and as usual you do not understand plain English, nor have you the ability to consider fact from fiction.

Still a very stupid assertion yes Sheldon, how many religions are applicable to today? at least 1,500 I should think.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard a ghost?
There would be no need for faith if there was absolute evidence of anything.
Faith is based on what is available for consideration.

What was it about Shinto that made you think "Nah, it's not for me"?polyglide wrote:Name 1000.

You are the one who looked at them all. How closely did you examine them if you don't know what they are?polyglide wrote:Name 1000.

You must have missed Swedenborgianism. A denomination of Christianity which is based on balls, much like the others.polyglide wrote:Shinto is a load of balls so far as I am concerned.

Is there ANY evidence of creationism? There would be no need for faith if there was absolute evidence of anything.
Is there ANY evidence of a creator?
Is there ANY evidence that contradicts evolution?

Just what is so fantastic about faith? What is so wonderful about believing in things without evidence, believing in things just because you want to and not because they are necessarily true?polyglide wrote:There would be no need for faith if there was absolute evidence of anything.
Deity worshipers seems to adore the idea of having "faith" in something as if that's some kind of a virtue.

Well actually you claimed to have studied them all, so why not just post a definitive list?polyglide wrote:Name 1000.

It's been so long ago now that I've forgotten my question.stu wrote:He has tried to wriggle out of it Sheldon,so I said that still leaves 1,500 religions going today, so he said name a 1,000. I ignored as you and Heretic are still awaiting your answers yet are you not.
This is often the tactics of someone that has been caught out or fallen into a trap. There is no dishonour in say "I don't know but......" or even apologise. Wouldn't it be a wonderful accolade if this message board had the accolade that we apologised when we made a mistake and we did not run away when we didn't know something. If I don't know about something I do a lot of listening (sorry reading) and hopefully learning.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard a ghost?
I asked first and did not claim there were 1,5000
Just another innane comment from those without common sense.
If I was to decide to go to a live show, I would consider all those available to me and not consider going to a show where Christians were given to the lions nor the Gladiators killing each other.
This of couse will be lost on you as is all logic.
Get some child to explain the implications.

There is no need for any evidence regarding evolution, it is a fact.
There is absolutely no evidence that evolution created anything.

Not one single poster on this forum has EVER said it has. No one knows exactly how evolution kicked off. You don't know, I don't know.polyglide wrote:There is absolutely no evidence that evolution created anything.
The one thing we are pretty certain about is that evolution did not begin by magic. Magic has never been the answer to anything.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard a ghost?
No I'm here stu. I'd rather have a discussion thanks. People get far too het up on that other forum. And they play silly games which is not what I'm there for.
Anyway, back to the topic. Have never seen a ghost and do not believe they exist. I don't believe in anything paranormal.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard a ghost?
There are over 30,000 Christian denominations, stu. Kind of lets you know how much rubbish Christianity and islam are when they can't even agree with each other about what god is supposed to have said.
