Election 2015: best political pictures and videos
First topic message reminder :
With the election campaign set to start in earnest this weekend we are likely inundated with picture and videos of candidates in all sorts of embarrassing poses etc......
I would like to kick off with today's look from Bercow to the Tory front bench

I preferred the other picture - the one of them all clustering to shake Miliband's hand, leaving Farage in the cold

Re: Election 2015: best political pictures and videos
astradt1. Tip. Your pic was much too large to be seen here, and this is the solution:-
- Post the URL in the 'insert an image' box.
- In the 'width (optional)' box underneath it, insert a number no greater than 680.
- In the 'height (optional)' box, you need to add a number which keeps the pic in proportion.
For the pic you've just used, the original was 1935 (width) and 2591 (height). I've reduced both to just over one-third of the original (670 x 897) so that it can be seen in its entirety like this:-
https://i.imgur.com/wKB3Anv.jpg
The picture does emphasise the point that your views are more likely to be taken seriously if they are well expressed. It’s a pity that opinions which might be very worthy (not UKIP ones, of course!) can be discounted by the grammar police and others because they are not well written.
The most common mistakes that we see on this forum are the misuse of there (meaning a place, or there is and there are) for their (which means belonging to them), the plural of Tory being written as Tory’s instead of Tories and the misunderstanding of when to use (and not to use) an apostrophe, which is explained here:-

Re: Election 2015: best political pictures and videos
I make that the third time, which is twice more than our site owners allow, as you will know if you take the trouble to read our posting rules.I've posted it before
https://cuttingedge2.forumotion.co.uk/t18-posting-rules
As much as I detest the Tories, I can't imagine how anyone can think that an idiot repeatedly screeching "Tory scum" is either funny or clever. All it does is reinforce the prejudices of right-wingers who see everyone on the left as unwashed, benefit scrounging layabouts, when nothing could be further from the truth. Research has suggested that left-wingers are more intelligent than right-wingers, so perhaps we should try and reinforce that evidence with sensible and reasoned posts on forums such as this one.

Spam-face Cameron continues to wrap himself in "The United Kingdom" flag whilst doing everything he can to denigrate the Scots.

Re: Election 2015: best political pictures and videos
1. This is your last warning - don't post the same item more than once.
2. A Neil Kinnock speech from the 1980s, excellent though it is, has no place on a thread for videos and posters about the 2015 election.

Thank you Phillip, the first video you could swear that it was from the present but it does prove what I have thought for a while Davy boy & Ozzy have got a hold of Thatchers papers and that is what they are using as ideas becuase they do not two brains cells to rub together to cause a spark.

Re: Election 2015: best political pictures and videos
From Sky News today:
After a weekend in which Mr Cameron faced criticism the Conservative campaign was lacking and failed to convey any positive ideas, he spoke about being "pumped up" and having a "battle on our hands". He said: "If you think I am going to roll over in the next ten days and let Ed Miliband and Alex Salmond wreck that you’ve got another thing coming.
"We have got a fight on our hands and we are going to win that fight."
When asked if he had left it too late to start giving more animated speeches he said: "If I'm getting lively about it, it's because I feel bloody lively."
Had Gideon offered a pinch of snuff perhaps?

Makes you wonder - or maybe he's just noticed he may lose his job if he doesn't get involved in the fight
